Giuseppe Sigismondi de Risio

A precocious talent, he began the study of the Pianoforte at the age of four, graduating at nineteen. He was accepted at the Bologna Conservatory "G.B. Martini" where he studied and graduated with honours in Composition, Music Analysis and Electronic Music. After a period of various and professionally interesting experiences as composer, producer and soound engineer, he studied “orchestra conducting” in Vienna (Austria), Rumania and Hungary under Erwin Acél.

 

Particularly versed in the operatic repertoire, as well as in the romantic and onward simphonic repertoire, he was acclaimed by the critics for his sensitive and powerful interpretations, strict yet inspired at the same time. His rendition of Opera is particularly noteworthy for its sensitiveness and character. He broadened his repertoire to embrace elegant renditions of German Liederistic, classical period masterpieces and contemporary music.


Giuseppe Sigismondi de Risio has had the privilege to perfom in many countries and various theatres like the Teatro del Giglio in Lucca,  Europahaus in Vienna, “Haus der Musik” in Vienna, “Auditorium of the Stone Bell” in Praha, Opera House Oradea (Rumania), Concert Hall of the Conservatory in Szeged (Hungary), the Beethovensaal and the Grandsaal der Hochschule (Universität für Musik) in Vienna, the Karajan Center in Vienna, Sala dei Marmi in Pescara, Teatro Dorico in Ancona, Auditorium of the Bologna Conservatorium, Auditorium in Parma, Triphony Hall in Tokyo, among the others.
